The main benefits of the CB scheme are that it allows manufacturers based anywhere in the world:

to apply for the product certification mark of any other participating scheme member - provided that the CB body applied to, (Body ‘B’), is a signatory to the same product category as the CB body issuing the CB report, (Body ‘A’).

to obtain CB reports/certificates which may be used to demonstrate product (safety) compliance to local importers and distributors, in more countries than under any other scheme.

• Testing in accordance with the IEC standards.
• CB members reserve the right to carry out re-testing when applying for additional certification marks. (A product sample may therefore be requested.)
• Factory inspection is not covered by the scheme.
• Manufacturing site can be worldwide.

• Established for over 30 years.
• Nemko is one of the founding members of the IECEE, (the umbrella organisation of the CB Scheme), and is one of the leaders in issuing CB certificates.
